Trip Information

This year, The Harbor is taking 9th-12th grade students to serve in Savannah, GA with the YouthWorks team.

We believe that mission trips are ways to experience Christ's servant love, experience growth, and ignite passions, which is why it is so important in the high school phase to experience mission.

After serving in Savannah, we will retreat to the mountains to debrief, rest and play in God's creation.

WHY SAVANNAH?

Savannah, GA is a beautiful historical city, but beneath the lavish city adornments and beautiful natural resources exists a city of need. Over 20% of Savannah's population lives under the poverty line, and there is a growing homeless population that is becoming increasingly noticeable in the community as a result of the pandemic.

Many of the service organizations YouthWorks partners with provide resources to people in poverty or who are experiencing homelessness. Our hope is that our service in Savannah will change our perceptions for the better and allow us to see others through God’s eyes and perspective.
